Today, we are 70 domain experts at 1 site who've directly led thousands of preclinical studies in both ophthalmology and oncology research under the highest standards of scientific rigor.

Peyton Anderson, CEO
Peyton Anderson has been CEO at Powered Research since its founding in 2011. Peyton previously served as the CEO of Affinergy for eighteen years as well as the founding CEO of SciQuest for seven years. During his time at SciQuest the company raised $180 million dollars. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond in history and communications and an MBA from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Throughout his career, Peyton has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to driving research innovation, fostering collaboration, and achieving operational excellence.
David Culp, Senior Vice President
David Culp, PhD – Dr. Culp serves as the Senior Vice President at Powered Research and has been with the company for more than 10 years. He holds a Ph.D. from the Karolinska Institute in Oncology and Immunology and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Ophthalmology. He previously served as a Senior Scientist at Affinergy.At Powered Research, Dr. Culp leads the design of client studies and the implementation of new models.​
Beth A. Hollister,
Vice President of Operation
Beth received her BS in nursing from Niagara University in 1985. Served as President of Glycosyn Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a spin-out company based on proprietary technologies developed within Harrier Inc. In 1997, Beth founded Piedmont Research Center, Inc., a contract research organization dedicated to pre-clinical development of potential cancer therapies. Upon acquisition by PPD in 2002, revenue was 18 million dollars. In 2009, Piedmont Research Center division was sold by PPD for 48 million to Charles River Laboratories where Beth served as Corporate VP of Global Discovery Research Services, until late 2013, responsible for operations at sites in Asia, Europe and the US. Publications range from oncology and antiviral therapeutics to science education. Beth continues to be an active operational and drug development consultant and board member for multiple startups and foundations.
Brian Gilger, Veterinary Ophthalmologist
Dr. Brian Gilger serves as a consulting Veterinary Ophthalmologist and has worked with Powered Research for the past eleven years. Dr. Gilger received his veterinary degree from The Ohio State University and a master's in ophthalmology from Auburn University.  He also completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and a residency in Ophthalmology at Auburn University. Dr. Gilger is board-certified in Veterinary Ophthalmology (DACVO) and Toxicology (DABT). At Powered Research, Dr. Gilger provides expert advice on all ophthalmology programs.
